The Ghost of Freddy Jackson?
Posted in Ghost Photos by admin on 25, Jan 2009

This is a well known photograph taken by Sir Victor Goddard in 1919. The photo shows Goddard’s Royal Air Force squadron that served in World War I.
Behind one of the airmen is the face of man (see top row, fourth from the left), who many in the photo believe to be that of Freddy Jackson, a man who had been killed accidentally after walking into the propeller of an airplane two days prior.
Jackson, who was an air mechanic, had been buried earlier on the day that the photo was taken.
The photo was published 56 years later by a 78 year-old Goddard, who was at that time retired after a distinguished military career.
